Two seniors from Germantown High School received Kiwanis scholarships during an awards ceremony at the school. Germantown Community Scholarship Fund Awards Night was on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, and our young high school scholars were on hand. The recipients are Alisha Kulkarni and Diya Patel.
The Kiwanis Club of Germantown awarded scholarship stipends of $1,750 each for the two students to use toward their college education. Both students will be invited to speak at an upcoming Kiwanis Club meeting. Youth coordinator Todd Jex was on hand to give the awards on behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Germantown.
Germantown High School senior students are eligible to win the Kiwanis Scholarships each year. Applicants are awarded scholarships based on a point system. They are awarded through Kiwanis’ participation with the Germantown Scholarship Fund.
A record $148,147 was awarded to 97 Germantown area students on May 26, 2021 at the GCSF Scholarship Awards Night. Since 1981, over $3.1 million has been awarded in scholarships to 2,820 deserving seniors. Annually they average 140 applications from Germantown high school seniors.
