Two seniors from Germantown High School received Kiwanis Scholarships during the Germantown Community Scholarship Fund Awards Night, May 24, 2023. The Kiwanis Club of Germantown awarded scholarship stipends of $1,750 each for the two students to use toward their college education. Both students will be invited to speak at an upcoming Kiwanis Club meeting. Youth coordinator Todd Jex was on hand to give the awards on behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Germantown.
Germantown High School senior students are eligible to win the Kiwanis Scholarships each year. Applicants are awarded scholarships based on a point system. They are awarded through Kiwanis’ participation with the Germantown Community Scholarship Fund.
103 Germantown area students were awarded over $159,000 in scholarships during GCSF Scholarship Awards Night. Since 1981, over $3.42 million has been awarded in scholarships to over 3,000 deserving seniors.
The GCSF provides a scholarship planning booklet to the Germantown school district students in their freshman year of High School. Each student may apply for a Germantown Community Scholarship during their high school career. Kiwanis Scholarships are given out each year as part of the GCSF scholarship program.
