of Germantown, WI
It is now official. The regular parade route for the Germantown Fourth of July Parade will be used again this year. There will be no change as had been reported earlier in the year.
Because of the closing of Park Street due to repaving this summer, plans to alter the parade route were thought to be necessary. That route would have eliminated the normal route to Firemen’s Park via Park Street. However, the paving of Park Street has been pushed back by four days to eliminate the need to alter the regular parade route. Parties on Park Street will not have to been canceled. The parade will go up Park Street to Firemen’s Park on July 4.
The regular parade route starts near the Germantown Post Office at Francese Drive, proceeding north to Hwy 145, left onto Main Street and continuing down Main Street to Park Street, and then right unto Park Street at Bub’s Irish Pub and continues up to Firemen’s Park.
The Germantown 4th of July Parade, festivities in Fireman’s Park and the incredible Germantown Fireworks are all coordinated by the Germantown Kiwanis Club with the help of interested organizations and businesses in the Germantown community.
