NAC stands for Neighbors Against Crime. The NAC program was first started by the U.S. Department of Justice in 1976. Since the programs began, research has shown that crime prevention education has seriously limited the amount of crime in neighborhoods. What has been a benefit is the amount of trust that citizens have discovered in getting to now their Police and Firefighters.
