of Germantown, WI
Set your calendar for Maifest, Germantown’s unique celebration of its German heritage. It happens this weekend as the Deutschadt Heritage Foundation presents Maifest, May 20-22, 2022 at a new location this year. Maifest will return to the parking lot in the Town Center Mall just off Mequon Road in Germantown, Wisconsin. This is one event you don’t want to miss.
Join the Germantown Kiwanis Club and other local organizations as we observe the annual tradition of Maifest. It is a German festival featuring music, dancing, crafts, authentic food and drink celebrating Spring and the Planting Season. Come on over to the brat stand on the west side of the tent and order your locally produced bratwurst and hungarian sausage sandwiches. We are also serving hamburgers and hot dogs all weekend.
On Friday night the Maifest headline musical group is a local favorite, Belle Cain, a trending country music group. Come over for the fish fry and stay to enjoy some great country rock music starting at 8 PM.
On Saturday, the array of original German traditional and polka music will be amazing. Enjoy the sheepshead tournament from noon till 4 PM (both Saturday and Sunday.) Then stay for a headline polka band, 8 PM until 11:30 PM.
On Sunday, the Kenny Brandt Band will headline, 5 PM to 7:30 PM. But early in the day there will be polka bands and traditional German dancing all day.
